SOUTH-SOUTHEAST SUBURBS
The Southeast Suburban area is characterized by distinctive neighborhoods that include new home subdivisions, established areas, and custom homes. The area offers a tasteful selection of styles, sizes, and price ranges.
The Southeast Suburban area includes the incorporated villages of Cherry Hills Village and Greenwood Village, which provide “estate type” living with elegant homes on large sites. These villages are among the most affluent residential neighborhoods in the city and set the tone for the Southeast Suburban section of Denver.
Most of the subdivisions of this section of Denver are carefully planned homes in attractive neighborhoods offering spacious residences with neighborhood recreation facilities, such as swimming and tennis, for a reasonable monthly fee. These subdivisions offer a variety of styles, from the more contemporary houses with vaulted ceilings and skylights to the very traditional homes characterized by a degree of formality. Residents of the Southeast Suburban section of the metropolitan area are attracted by the convenience of the commute to Downtown Denver, Denver International Airport, and the immediate access to the office parks located along the
I-25 corridor. In addition, there are exquisite restaurants, attractive new shopping centers, financial services, attorneys, and medical facilities “at your fingertips.”
The Southeast Suburban area is served by two of the finest school districts in Colorado. The Cherry Creek and Littleton School Districts are exceptional in the academic programs, physical facilities, and extracurricular opportunities offered the students. Both have won numerous awards for academic, athletic, music, and other school-related achievements, and maintain standards throughout the various school programs. There are also several fine private schools you may choose which are convenient to the neighborhoods such as Kent-Denver Country Day School, St. Mary’s Academy, Mullen High School, and Colorado Academy.
Local fire and police departments serve the area very efficiently, and excellent medical facilities are accessible to the residential areas. Recreational facilities are some of the most extensive in the Denver metropolitan area with public golf courses, such as South Suburban, Wellshire, and Kennedy; all are available within a few minutes of the residential areas. Cherry Creek Reservoir and State Park provides boating, fishing, nature trails, skeet shooting, and many other recreational opportunities.
