WESTMINSTER
Westminster lies in the northwest quadrant of the Denver metropolitan area, between Boulder and Denver. It is bisected by the Boulder Turnpike (U.S. 36) and it is adjacent to I-25. West 104th Avenue crosses the city and provides direct access to Denver International Airport.
Westminster is a community apart from Denver, with lots to offer business and residents. The City has a population of 100,940, yet it has a smaller town feel. Still, the City is conveniently close to Denver and Boulder and within easy reach of major business centers, educational facilities and all a major metropolitan area has to offer. Westminster’s parks, quality residential areas, trails and open space, along with its corporate parks, reflect a commitment to quality for which Westminster is known.
For the outdoor enthusiast, there are 45 miles of trails and 2,000 acres of open space located throughout Westminster. Bald eagles and hawks, foxes, coyotes, and an occasional deer can be spotted enjoying the open space along with pelicans and other birds who are attracted to Westminster's many lakes and ponds.
In addition, the Standley Lake Recreation Area covers over 2,250 acres of combined land and water. The lake is a favorite spot for boaters, fishermen, windsurfers, water skiers, and hikers who enjoy the walking trails found within this beautiful, natural lake area.
