NORTHGLENN
It was the spring of 1959 that the Perl-Mack companies finalized plans for a large subdivision north of Denver in unincorporated Adams County. The plans for this new community included design of commercial, industrial, recreational and school areas, to be centered around a regional shopping complex. This shopping area is now called the Marketplace and is a vibrant area of redevelopment.
Northglenn is still a growing area with new development. During 1999, the Department of Community Development issued a record-high 2,485 building and related permits. In 2000, the City issued 2,680 building and related permits – 195 more than in the previous record-breaking year of 1999. If you like mature landscaping and having excellent access to major thoroughfares, you will love Northglenn.
